What Have I Been Up Too?

Studying. Studying. Oh, and more studying. I love anatomy and physiology, but man , all I have been doing is studying and memorizing. It amazes me how our bodies work and function! I love going into lab and laughing with students because we came up with a funny term to help us memorize a part or function of the body.

Here were a few from fellow students today in class:

"Jessie, you can remember the thoracic cavity by thinking of Jurassic Park--thorasic jurassic!" Or "catabolism is the break down of chemical substances, so just think of canabals..... because they eat, or tear down people."

Oh school, thank you for keeping me laughing!

Epic 29er

Chad has recently been into mountain biking alot. He goes a few times a week and is pretty good at it. He has recently been looking at a new bike. He has got his eye on this Specialized Epic 29er. Lets just say he is like a kid in a candy store when it comes to bikes. Our daily conversations are not complete until this baby is mentioned!

I have WHAT?!

Yes, it's true. I have mono! I thought only 17 year olds get that? Let me just say its miserable! I have been in alot of pain (ear aches, swollen tonsils, swollen/stiff neck, fever, chills, no appetite, tired, grumpy, and just plain tuckered out). Poor Chad has been a good sport about it and is taking good care of me. Thanks to all our friends and family for all the yummy soups, shakes, jamba juices etc. And thank you LOST (just started season 1!) for helping keep me company. Now....lets hurry and get these next 6 weeks to recovery and taking it easy out of the way!

Honeymoon!

Chad and I went on a cruise to the Western Carribbean for our honeymoon. We had SO much fun! Our stops were: (1) Princess Cays (Bahamahs) (2) Jamaica (my favorite!) (3) Cayman Islands (4) Cozumal Mexico and (5) back to Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Here are a few pics of our fun adventures!
